A method of intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy in combination with local vein blocking operation has been developed for the preoperative treatment of locally advanced breast cancer. The concentration of ADM in the cancerous tissue in the patients undergoing the local vein blocking operation was 2.8 times higher than that in the control group. But the concentration in the peripheral blood of the local vein blocking group was lower than of the control group. Therefore, this method shows excellent clinical and histological effects against primary tumor and regional lymph node metastasis in the locally advanced breast cancer patients.
