The crystal structure of a binuclear copper(II) complex with 1,2,3,4-tetrakis(salicylideneamino)-2,3-dimethylbutane (abbreviated as H<SUB>4</SUB>sata), Cu<SUB>2</SUB>(sata), was determined by the single-crystal X-ray diffraction method. The complex molecule has two coordination units formed by a planar 6-5-6 fused chelate ring and takes a nonstacked form.
