Clinical and Roentgenographic Studies of Lumbar Canal Stenosis with Degenerative Spondylolisthesis.

In lumbar canal stenosis with degenerative spondylolisthesis, 30 cases treated operatively 1987 to 1992 were followed over 6 months and were evaluated clinically.We categorized these cases into 3 groups; Group A (Anterior lumbar spinal body fusion), Group B (Posterior or posterolateral fusion + Partial or wide laminectomy) and Group C (Partial or wide laminetomy). Each group was evaluated using the J. O. A. score and roentgenographic findings (Change of slip ratio). Clinical results were acceptable, and improvement in slip ratio of Group A and B, was seen radiographically, while the change seen in Group C was not so remarkable. In this short-term follow-up, there was no difference between fixation and non-fixation.
