The high pressure liquid chromatographic analysis of riboflavin, FMN and FAD in isolated heart mitochondria was described. The flavin content in rat heart mitochondria were : 0.67±0.15n moles FAD per mg protein, 0.13±0.13 n moles FMN and 0.008±0.004 n moles free riboflavin. The preparation of mitochondria from rat heart which was used to determine the flavin concentrations was also described.
