In MSHRSP, which appear to be a suitable animal model for human juvenile malignant hypertension, PRC, PAC, ACTH and AVP elevated significantly in accordance with the development of hypertension, but these values could be reduced through antihypertension therapy. The development of hypertension in MSHRSP given a combination of antihypertension therapy and a 33% fish meal diet from young age was significantly suppressed (blood pressures being kept under 190mm Hg), their PRC, PAC and AVP were also lower, being about the same as in WKY, and their life spans were greatly prolonged.
