脳幹部髄膜腫に継発した後天性頚部脊髄空洞症のマルチーズ犬の1例(内科学)

15歳,メスのマルチーズが3か月間の運動失調,回転運動および盲目の病歴のために紹介された.脳MRI検査において脳幹部の腫瘤性病変が認められた.小脳ヘルニアもまたT1強調画像矢状断において検出された.側脳室,第3及び第4脳室は拡大し,頚部脊髄の中心管も拡大していた.画像診断により脳幹部の腫瘍に継発した頚部脊髄空洞症が疑われた.臨床症状はロムスチンにより良好に推移し,初診後8ヶ月生存した.腫瘤性病変は病理組織診断により髄膜腫と診断された.この報告は,脳幹部の髄膜腫に継発した後天性頚部脊髄空洞症の臨床所見と画像診断における特徴を記載する.
