Production of the ^3He^<++>-ion by a R.F. ion source has been observed on a test-bench. After accelerating ions to about 20 KeV, the beam was analysed magnetically. The flow rate of the ^3He-gas has been kept less than 1.0 cc/hr. The effects of magnetic field and location of the R.F. coupling electrodes on the beam intensity of ^3He^+- and ^3He^<++>-ions were measured. About 0.3 μA of ^3He^<++>-ions were obtained. The maximum value of 0.8% was obtained for the ratio of the current intensities of ^3He^<++>- and ^3He^+-ions and the operating condition for obtaining the maximum ratio was determined. Some discussions on the results obtained were made from the point of view of the plasma in magnetic field.
