A hybrid magnetic probe system composed of one for high frequency component and the other for low frequency is proposed for the measurement of plasma current in a tokamak. The hybrid system has been shown to respond in a wide range of frequency including steady state component by proper synthesis of high and low frequency probe outputs. It is noted that the probe for low frequency component may be located at a place outside the tokamak device.
