NOR-bearing Y chromosome in American beaver, Castor canadensis(Rodentia, Castoridae)

Karyotype of a male American beaver Castor canadensis, 2n=40, was presented. Silver staining revealed that Ag-NORs appeared in each terminal region of the long arm of pair 1, the short arm of pair 19 and the long arm of the Y chromosome.
