• In continuation of our previous paper, the structures of compounds C, D, and E, obtained in minute yields during the Hofmann degradation of O-methyltazettine methine methohydroxide or in better yields by treatment of the methiodide with tert-butoxide under the analogous conditions, were shown to be represented by formulas (VI), (XIV), and (XV), respectively.
