Nowadays, for study in vehicle handling and stability, simulation technique is widely used in industrial and academic research. In this paper, a development of real time simulation technique by using Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulator (HILS) is introduced. HILS consists of hardware and software module. Hardware consists of tire. Software consists of computer simulation part that simulate vehicle dynamics. To operate HILS, we have to determine an appropriate vehicle parameter to use with a bicycle vehicle model in software module and tires of a hardware module. The method to investigate vehicle parameter to use with HILS is proposed and some tire characteristics data are discussed in this paper.
