Although angle-resolved photoenaission spectroscopy (ARPES) has been ttsed for detailed studyof the layered perovskite copper-oxide sttpercondtmctors for nearly ten years, SrzRuO,j is the firstmetal of this structural class for which it has been possiTc1e to obtain detailed Fermi surfacedata from both quantum oscillations and ARPFIIS. We show that the two techniques give verydifferent results, and present strong evidence that the current interpretation of ARPES data isnot representative of the btrlk electronic structtrre of SrzRuO,q.
