Correlation of the Infrared Anomaly and Superconductivity in YBa_2(Cu<1-x>Co_x)_3O_<7-δ>

For YBa.Cu.0, , oxides sintered at various temperatures, the infrared absorptionmode of in-plan Cu(2)-O(2, 3) stretching motions shows the anomalous behavior todisappear for superconducting samples although it is allowed by the selection rule.The correlation between the infrared anomaly ancl superconcluctivity has been confirmed systematically for YBa.(Cu. .Co.),O. , system in the Co concentrationregion of 0<.X'<0.3 for samples quenched from sintering temperatures of 400, 500,600, 700 and 800'C.[lattice vibrations, infrared absorption, high-7'. oxides superconductor, ll YBazCu3O7 ,5l
