It has been f'otrnd that, when the sample platelets of sodium nitrile are qtrenched f'rom above T.to rooun teuaaperature, strongly anisotropic and atmorphous donaain patterns appear in addition tothe well known stripe pattern, A computer siuntrlation shoxvs that both patterns can be forrnedfrom tlae initial lanaellar dornain structtrre through the nucle?rtion and growth of' antistripples.The anaorphous doraaain patterns appear when the ntrcleation rate is high and the growth velocityus low. XX'e infer that the quenching provides strch a condition to the thin lamellar dornains whenthe temperature of the saznple is rapidly cooled in the process of' dornain pattern evoltrtion.
