Anomalies in the Susceptibility and the Resistivity Due to s-d Interaction in a Spinel System Cu (Rh_<1-x>Cr_x)_2S_4 (0≤x≤0.40)

Magnetization, susceptibility and resistivity mteasurements were made on thesystem Cu(Rh.-.Cr,).Sp. The resistivities (7) of the Cr substituted samplesshow an increase below room temperature. Ap (solute resistivity) vs temperaturecurve for ,v=0.l0 seems to show Kondo anomaly. The samples (,r=0.30, 0.40)show ferromaunetism (7'c=39 K, 166 K). The suscertibilities (X) of ,v=0.10 and0.20 show an anomaly at about 200 " 230 K auad increase markedly at lowertemreratures. x vs T curve for ,X"=0.I0 was anal>zzed b"? assuminn 0v=O and themagnetic moment to be temperature-dependent. A unified picture of the prc>partiesof the three spinel systems Cu(Rhz-.Cr.).S. (Se.) and Ni(Rh.=,Cr,).S. ispresented.
