de Haas-van Alphen oscillations in cobalt are studied for various crystallog-raphic directions by using a pulsed field method. The oscillation with a frequencyof about l MG is observed for the [00014 direction, and the frequency is nearlyconstant in the (1210) plane, while the frequency increases with increasing 0(angle between the magnetic field direction and the [00013 direction) in the (1010)plane. The effective mass is also obtained based upon the rneasurements of thetemperature dependence of the amplitude for the oscillation in the temperaturerange from 4.2 K to 1.3 K. The angular dependence of the effective mass isconsistent with that of the frequency. The angular dependence of the frequencycan be qualitatively explained by assuming a set of oblale-ellipsoidal shapedsurfaces for the Fermi surface located near the L-point of the Brillouin zone.
