Anomalous Temperature Dependence of the Magnetocrystalline Anisotropy in Dilute Cobalt-Iron Alloys

A study on the temperature dependence of the uniaxial magnetocrystallineanisotrorv constant K.r of Co-Fec allovs containin: less than 4.21 ctt% Fe hasbeen carried out. A strange behavior of K.. with temperature was fourtd in 0.84x1 .27 at '3Fe alloys. On heating, K... decreases and changes its sign, f'ollowed byan' anomalously drastic decrease, and then increases up to the h.c.p.-+f.c.c.phase transition temperature. On cooling, K.? decreases exhibiting a large tem-perature hysteresis and iztcreases abruptly, becoming positive. Twits strangephenotnenon is cyclic with temperature.
