The relativistic theory of an unstable particle is formulated. The field operator of the unstable particle is expressed by the power series of the asymptotic field operator of its decay products with the coefficient of a-function. The recursion formula for a-function is given and solved in a simple model in comparison with one for the stable particle. Further a special attention is paid to the possibility to eliminate the field operator of unstable particle from the framework of theory.
