π^+p→π^0N^<*++> Reaction at High Energy and Correction to ρ-Exchange Contribution

The reaction π^+p→π^0N^<*++> at high energies is investigated by using a model in which some of the assumptions used in the absorption model are removed and the transition amplitudes take a form connected with the transition amplitudes for π^-p charge exchange scattering. It is shown that the model can reproduce the experimental energy dependence of the differential cross section and gives good agreement with almost all of the data including those on the spin density matrix of N^* decay.
