The reaction π^+p→π^0N^<*++> is studied using a ρ Regge pole exchange model. We use the ρ trajectory obtained by the analysis of elastic and charge exchange scattering for πN and KN. We start from two invariant amplitudes in close connection with the magnetic coupling for the ρNN^* vertex. The residue functions are determined in order to reproduce the angular distribution at 3.54 GeV/c. Then the angular distributions at 2.75 GeV/c and 8.0 GeV/c are in reasonably good agreement with the data. The distribution of the Treiman-Yang angle of N^* decay is also consistent with the data.
