SU(3) Symmetry and Relation between Baryons and Leptons

A hadron model is proposed on the basis of the hypothetical existence of heavy triplet leptons closely connected with the lepton family. A baryon is considered to consist of a unitary singlet boson with baryonic charge one and three triplet particles with integral electric charge and baryonic charge zero. The SU(6) symmetry is dynamically derived for the baryon by assuming a sort of atomic model. New interactions which connect these triplet particles with the lepton family are introduced in order to explain the breakdown of the SU(3) symmetry, the instability of the triplet particles and the μ-e difference in a unified way. Finally, the importance of studying quantum electrodynamics and neutrino physics at high energies to test our hadron model is emphasized.
