Horizontal Gauge Interactions as the Origin of Lepton-Quark Masses and Flavour Mixings : Particles and Fields

Horizontal gauge interactions over N generations of leptons and quarks are introduced whose gauge symmetries are assumed to be broken at sufficiently high energies in TeV regions. They provide an effective Higgs mechanism for the underlying left-right symmetric gauge theory (SU(2)_L×SU(2)_R×U(1)_<B_L>) and eventually lead us to the equations obeyed by the lepton-quark mass matrices.
