The resonance Raman spectra of polymeric Co<SUP>III</SUP> {SCH<SUB>2</SUB>CH(NH<SUB>2</SUB>)COOH-<I>S</I>}<SUB>3</SUB> and Na<SUB>3</SUB>Co<SUP>III</SUP> (SCH<SUB>2</SUB>COO-<I>S</I>)<SUB>3</SUB> complexes were investigated. The complexes gave two totally symmetric Co–S stretchings, indicating the presence of two different Co–S–Co bridging modes in the complexes. Possible bridging modes are discussed in relation to their structures.
