Two cases of von Recklinghausen's disease with neurofibroma arising in oral cavity.

Reports of a 41-year-old male and a 37-year-old female with von Recklinghausen's disease with Neurofibroma in the oral cavity were presented.<BR>Multiple tumors and pigmentation on the surface of whole body skin were seen so that both cases seemed to be typical of von Recklinghausen's disease.<BR>We made excisions on the intra-oral tumors and there have been no reccurances.<BR>Histopathologically, both cases were Neurofibroma.<BR>Notably, both cases were accompanied by jaw bone deformity, of which only 11 cases have been reported in Japanese medical literature. Both of these cases showed remarkable abnormalities in the Incisura Mandibulae region. Therefore, we analysed this subject in comparison with previous reports, and concluded that these cases were very rare as far as the location of bone deformity is concerned.
