An oil-macerated garlic extract (OMGE) showed strong antibacterial activity against Helicobacter pylori. Its effect of OMGE was increased depending on OMGE concentration. From the results of electron microscopic observation, incubation of H. pylori with OMGE caused morphological conversion of cells from helical rod form to nonculturable coccoid form.
