Triterpenoid Saponins from Root of Platycodon grandiflorum

Three new bisdesmosidic saponins, named platycosides A-C, were isolated from the root of Platycodon grandiflorum together with thirteen known triterpenoid saponins. Their chemical structures were elucidated on the basis of their spectral data and chemical evidence.
