This paper deals with a theoretical stability analysis of a web flutter generated to a thin film subjected to fluid flow in a narrow passage. The analytical results show that traveling-wave type flutter occurs to the thin film due to the fluid flow in a narrow passage, and clarify the dispersion relation of the wave motion, wave velocity (phase velocity) and growth rate of the wave.
