CARS spectra of the ν_1 band of SiH_4 and Si_2H_6 were observed in a supersonic jet expansion and under cell conditions at room temperature. The cooling behavior of rotational and vibrational populations was shown in supersonic expansions. Under cell conditions, the contribution of hot bands was clearly present. The simulation procedures are discussed for the CARS spectra of these molecules.
