Coexistence of Different Symmetry Order Parameters near a Surface in d-Wave Superconductors III

In previous papers a possibility of coexistence of different symmetry order parameters and theirphysical properties have been sttrdied for the (1, l, 0) surface of d.w .z-wave superconductors.The present report extends them to disctrss the dependence on the directiora of the surface,determining the order p?trameters self-consistently. For sinnplicity the surface is assumed to bespectrlar. In the case of a general direction of the surface the symunetry is lower than that forthe (1, l, O) strrface. As a conseqtrence, d.w .2 mixes with other symmetry order parametersat the surface. The relative phase between the coexisting order parameters depends on thesurface direction; physical properties also change accordingly. Dvre to the nature of adrnixttrrethe appearance of the secondary order parameter(s) is possible, even when thexr cotrplings arerepulsive.
