In numerical simulations on a moving charged soliton in polyacetylene, thebehavior of the total, electric, lattice potential and lattice Kinetic energies are analyzed. In order to induce physically natural motion, the soliton is accelerated by auniform electronic field as in the previous papers of this series. During the acceleralion the electronic energy shows an almost monotone decrease while the lattice poten-tial energy increases in an almost monotone way. These two energies have also anoscillating component which is related to the previously reported oscillation of thesoliton width. On the contrary the total and the lattice kinetic energies show no oscilla-tion. The relation between the total energy e... and the soliton velocity v is well fittedto a functional form 'lot (r) = 'tot (0) - (.M. v ;. / 2) In ( 1 - v ' / v : ) where v,. is the satura-tion velocity of about three times the sound velocity and M. the soliton effective massof four to five times the bare electron mass.soliton, charged soliton, SSH model, polyacetylene, effective mass of a soliton
