High-Crder Harmonic Generation in Dense Plasmas with a High Inensity Light Field

High-order harnaonic generation by an oscillating current due to intense laser electric fields indense plasnaas is investigated. In solid target plastaaas produced by an intense trltra-short ptrlselaser, the intense laser radiation directly interacts with overdense plasmas. In strch a case, plasmascreening effects are irnportant in the plasma response to the laser field. For such plasmas, thehigher harnnonics are evaluated by using a dynarnical forrn factor f'or plasma electrons and ions.There is a peak in the harmonic spectruuaa at twice the plasma frequency.
