Partial Structural Functions of Liquid Bi-<30>Ga-<70> Alloy Estimated from the Anomalous X-Ray Scattering Measurement in Asymmetrical Reflection Geometry with Synchrotron Radiation

An apparatus for controlling the glancing angle of incident beaan from a synchrotron sourcehas been newly lctuilt ['or strtrctural sttrdies of' high ternperattrre liqtrids by the anornalovrs X-rayscattering (AXS) rnethod in the reflection mode. The trseftrltness and capability of this apparatttswere dernonstrated by o btaining the individtral partial strttctura[ functions of' the Iiqtrid Bi3g Ga7galloy trsing the energies close to the Ga K and Bi Ljjj atbsorption edges. The data processing forestirmating three partials incltudes the intensity data obtained at the energy of 15.0 keV, whichis far froraa both edges and the reverse IVIonte Carlo (RIVIC) sirnttlation technique. The restrltantpartial strtrctural function for Ga -Ga pairs NV2LS fotrnd to be ratlaer sirnilar to that of' ptrre Ga.On the other hand, partial structural ftrnc{ion for Bi -Bi p;tirs differs from the ptrre Bi case andthe coexistence of rnore than two species is rather well-recognized in the Bib0Gasp liqvrid alloy.
