Asymmetric Dielectric Dispersion in a Random Dipole System

The complex dielectric susceptibility of a random dipole system is calculatednumerically on the basis of a Glauber model with dipole-dipole interaction. Forxp'/ (e..d'k.T ) : 0.01(p: dipole moment, e..: dielectric constant, do lattice constant),a complex plane plot (Cole-Cole plot) of the result is greatly dependent on both thetemperature T and the dipolar concentration x, and its locus exhibits characteristicasymmetry. It is shown that this behavior agrees semiquantitatively with the experi-ment on Kl. .(NO.)..
