Volume Magnetostriction in Itinerant Electron Ferromagnetic Ni_3Al System

The volume magnetostriction and magnetization in the itinerant electron fer-romagnetic Ni3Al system have been measured. The magneto-elastic coupling con-stant D(T) at temperature 7'shows a I"'-dependence in a temperature range belowT.. D(T) is calculated by using the self-consistent renormalization (SCR) theory ofspin fluctuations, which explains experimental results well. The shift of the Curietemperature r. with pressure r, ar.7at' is calculated in the same way. The esti-matea value or ar.7ar t>y employing the present experimental results or mag-netization and volume magnetostriction agrees very well with the experimental oneby Buis et al. The T.-dependence of dT./dP is also discussed by ttsing the presentcalculated result-
