The low field spin-lattice relaxation time T., of protons has been calculatedin the rotatinx frame considerins the effect of the cruantum rotation of NH.*-ton.The weak collision case i.e. 7ffjr.<<l has been treated, where II, is the localdir>olar field and r. the correlation time, The transition rates were calculated byusinz the r>henomenolonical model of Clou:h and Punkkinen. It is shown thatthe temr>erature der>endence of Tnt shows a frectuencv indetendent minimumclearly when A.>>yH., which is in agreement with the experimental results, whereAo is the tunnelinu frectuenc>r of NH:-ion and Hn the strensth of rf field. Sincethe frequency independent minimum is easy to observe, the measurement of T,is useful to determine the tunneling frequency of N}1.-ion.
