Small-Angle Neutron Scattering from Dynamically Polarized Hydrogenous Materials

S 11 lfhd' l EH C " dma -ang e neutron scatterxng rom t e hy rogenous materxa s BA- r andicyclohexyl-18-crown-6 dissolved in the deuterated or partially deuterated pro-panediol was investigated with pulsed white thernaal neutrons. The dynamical nuclearpolarization technique was applied to polarize tFte nuclear spins of the samples. Thetypical small-angle scattering patterns and their enhancemen'c by the nuclear polarizalion could be observed. The ?"esults are in good agreement with the theoretical calcula-lions, indicating the feasibility of the combination of small-angle neutron scatteringand dynamical nuclear polarization technique for the study of semi-macrostructuresof hydrogenous materials.
