Motion of Interacting Particles in a Disordered Medium

A binary liquid of disparate-size hard spheres in a supercooled state near the glass transition is proposed as a convenient model to study the dynamical properties of interacting (classical) particles in a disordered medium. We find unusually strong β´-relaxation, which is related to the anomalous wavenumber-dependence of Debye-Waller factors in the glass.
