Mobilities of CO^+_2 and N_2O^+ Ions in Ne Gas

Mobilities of CO; and N,0" ions in Ne gas were measured against E/N using aninjected-ion drift tube mass spectrometer. It was found that the reduced mobilities ofboth ions almost coincide with each other. They are constant at low E/N, and decreasemonotonously above 30Td. The zero field reduced mobilities are measured as7.20 cm'/V-sec for both ions, which is about 20% larger than the polarization limit of5.83 cm'/V-sec.
