The mooring system for the sea observation is useful for the time series observation or the long term monitering, such as the observation on seasonal change of water temperature in the specified point or the area. We made two type mooring systems for investigation on the mechanism of the fog formation in the Kurushima Channel and for observation on seasonal change of the tidal front in the west part of the Sea of Hiuchi-Nada. And we set up the mooring systems on the fairway buoys in the Kurushima Channel and the Sea of Hiuchi-Nada on April, 1999. Our mooring systems have some characteristics as follows; 1) To prevent against getting caught in the mooring chain of the fairway buoy, they were fitted with an iron bar of 3-4m length in the Kurushima Channel. 2) To above mentioned reason, they were supported with a float connected with the fairway buoy and were attached some iron bars of 2m length from the upper of the mooring rope length about 18m to the bottom with bottom weight of 10kg in the Sea of Hiuchi-Nada.
