概要
- 論文の詳細を見る
The characteristics of fusion reactors using advanced fuel cycles are discussed. Among various deuteron-based fuel cycles, the importance of D-^3 He is emphasized as the most efficient cycle with least neutron fraction. In order to develop the D-^3 He fusion reactor in a field-reversed configuration, some physics problems are considered in respect to FRC equilibrium, stability, steady maintenance, heating method, and physics of open plasma. The feasibility and effectiveness of the plasma direct energy converters are also examined.
