Preparation and Characterization of Highly $C$-Axis-Oriented Ba2NaNb5O15 Thin Film on La0.05Sr0.95TiO3 Substrate

Ba2NaNb5O15 (BNN) thin films were grown on La-doped SrTiO3 substrates by the pulsed laser deposition method. The $c$-axis orientation of BNN thin films depends on the oxygen gas pressure ($P_{\text{o$_{2}$}}$). When the $P_{\text{o$_{2}$}}$ and deposition temperature were fixed at 7.5 mTorr and 700°C, respectively, the BNN thin film exhibited a highly $c$-axis orientation. The $c$-axis-oriented BNN thin film consisted of well-developed grains and exhibited a smooth surface. The remanent polarization ($P_{\text{r}}$) and coercive field ($E_{\text{c}}$) were $2P_{\text{r}}=95.3$ μC/cm2 and $E_{\text{c}}=400$ kV/cm, respectively.
