From "Ban Zhi Lian," the whole herb of Scutellaria rivularis WALL, a new flavanone (I) was isolated together wtih 5,7,2'-trihydroxyflavone, chrysin, luteolin, hispidulin, cirsilineol, alpinetin and caldamomin. Compound I was identified as (±)-5,7,4'-trihydroxy-8-methoxyflavanone, based on spectral and chemical data.
