• Ratty acids in the sebum of goats were analyzed. 4-Ethyl fatty acids were the major components in mature males, while iso-, anteiso-, and normal fatty acids were the major ones in females. Normal fatty acids predominated in the sebum of immature goats of both sexes. There was no significant difference in the constituents between Saaned and Japanese native breeds.
