Investigations on the Microstructures of Some Ordering Alloys

The results of our recent investigations on the atomic structure of some ordering alloys are described briefly ; the Mossbauer absorption spectra in Fe_3Al alloys were analysed at each stage of annealing, and the change of probabilities for finding a definite number of Fe atoms on the first coordination spheres of Fe atom were obtained. The critical voltages in Cu-based alloys with either 15 at% Al, 5 or 15 at% Au were measured as a function of temperature, and the Debye temperatures and the static mean-square-displacements of atoms were obtained. The long range order dependence of the Debye temperature was discussed from the measured critical voltages of Ni_3Гe ana FeCo. One-dimensional long period superstructures (LPS) in α_2 Cu-Al, α'Ag-Mg and α"Cu-Pd alloys were observed by means of high resolution electron microscopy in order to clarify the configuration of the periodic anti-phase domains. It was found that the LPS in the above alloys is made up of two kinds of antiphase domains and that these domains are arranged regularly to some degree.
