A New One-Dimensional Long Period Superstructure in Pd_5Ce

The crystal structure of Pd_5Ce phase has been analyzed by X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy. It is revealed that the Pd_5Ce has two phases, one stable at low temperature and the other at high temperature. The structure of the low temperature phase is identified as a kind of long period antiphase structure with fcc fundamental cells.
