Simultaneous determination of Lipid Hydroperoxides by HPLC-Post Column Systems

Two HPLC-post column systems, a conventional-size system and a semi-micro system, for the simultaneous determination of lipid hydroperoxides were developed. The hydroperoxides of free fatty acids, phosphatidylcholines, triacylaglycerols and cholesterol esters were individually determined at the pmol level with good reproducibility by using gradient elution and post-column detection with diphenyl-1-pyrenylphosphine.
