The three-wave mixing process has been studied as functions of incident photonenergy and also of the geometrical configuration when incident photon energylies around the two-photon resonance of excitonic molecule. Experiments irxdicatethat the intensity of the third order nonlinear 1ig[ht beam is enhanced when thephase matching condition derived from the dis)persion of excitonic pollaritonholds or when incident photon energy is equal tc>the two-photon resona.nce ofexcitonic molecule. The relation between this tlnree-wave mixing proce:;s andtwo-photon resonant Raman scattering so far obs:erved is discussed. It is shownthat this three-wave mixing process is regarded as the two-photon resonant,coherent Raman scattering via excitonic molecules;.
