A high resolution. study of the resonances in the "Mg(p, p) and "Mg(p, y)reactions was made. 1=he (p, p) excitation functions were measured at four anglesitu the energy range from 1.9 to 4.0 MeV with the overall energy resoIutio?a of400-;800 eV. The resonance paranaeters were determined with multi-level R-matrix an.a]ysis. The (p, 7) excitation fun.ction was measured at'?energies from1.60 MeV to 3.95 MeV with the energy resolution of 2N3 keV. Angular distri-butions and branching ratios of )-rays were measured at 24 resonances. Amo?tgthe resonances observed, can.didates of nine analogue resonances correspondingto the 5th-16th excited states of "Mg have been Iooke4 for, and five sets offragmented' analogues are identified. Spectroscopic factors .5.. in the (p, p)reaction we.re obtained. They are compared with the S..
