The phonon polariton in the SrTi0. crystal having an inversion s?ymmetry hasbeen observed by a new and simple method of the hyper-Raman sc;uttering. Thefrequencies of the uppermost branch polariton measured as a furtction. of thewavevector k are found to be in reasonable agreement with the theoreticallyestimated ones.
