The spin orientation and the symmetry of the g tensor of FeCl_2・2H_2O are explained making use of the effective anisotropic exchange interaction between Fe^<2+> ions with fictitious spin s=1. The spin orientation is not any one of the principal axes of the local crystalline field. The origin of g tensor is divided into two parts: One is the contribution from one-ion, and the other is that from the anisotropic exchange interaction between Fe^<2+> ions.
